Ingredients:
- 1 cup hot brewed coffee (strong)
- 1 1/2 ounces Irish whiskey
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream (whipped)
Instructions:
- Start by preheating your coffee mug by filling it with hot water. Let it sit for a minute, then discard the water.
- Brew a cup of strong coffee using your preferred brewing method. Make sure it's hot and fresh.
- In the preheated coffee mug, add the brown sugar and pour in the hot brewed coffee. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Add the Irish whiskey to the coffee mixture and stir again.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until it reaches a thick but pourable consistency.
- Hold a spoon upside down over the coffee mixture and slowly pour the whipped cream over the back of the spoon. This will allow the cream to float on top of the coffee.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Irish Coffee!
Note: If desired, you can garnish the whipped cream with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or cinnamon for added flavor. Adjust the amount of sugar and whiskey according to your taste preferences.
